Description - Scope:The Victorian Government committed to a $562 million redevelopment of Frankston Hospital as part of its election campaign. The redevelopment aims to cope with the rapidly growing population on the Mornington Peninsula.The redevelopment will add 120 new hospital beds, two new operating theatres and an additional 13 new emergency department beds. It will deliver a massive expansion of child and maternal health services including a new maternity ward, obstetrics ward, women’s clinic, paediatric ward and special care nursery.The 2019-20 Victorian Budget allocated $6 million in FY2019-20 towards planning for the redevelopment of the Hospital.
