Description - Scope:Region Västmanland in Sweden has selected AFRY to lead the project planning for the first stage of the new emergency hospital in Västerås.Estimated to cost SEK6.8bn ($675m), the new 85,000m2 hospital will feature provide space for surgery, x -ray, medical practices, an emergency department, a childbirth department, hospital beds, and an intensive care unit.It will also comprise several maintenance buildings for storage of supplies and electric power supply to the hospital.
