Description - Scope:Eirgenix, a Taiwanese contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO), is developing a new protein drug production plant in Zhubei, Taiwan. The new plant will facilitate late-stage development and commercial production of biologics, as well as bolster the CDMO business of Eirgenix. The company secured a syndicated loan of NTD850m ($28m) for the construction of the facility. The construction was started in December 2016 and the beam-raising ceremony was held in October 2017. The first stage of the plant development was completed in late-2018. In the first stage, four 2,000L-scale single-use bioreactors will be installed in the first production line.
