Description - Description: To design and deliver a koala population survey that will provide a more accurate estimate of koala abundance, genetic diversity (including the extent of the remnant South Gippsland population) and general health status (including target ed surveillance for the presence of several important disease processes in koalas), across Victoria. The resulting survey data will inform management of the species in Victoria and assist in the implementation of the new Victorian Koala Management Strategy (VKMS) as well as key recommendations identified by the National Koala Disease Risk Analysis (KDRA).
