Supply of Medicine and Medical / Surgical equipments : Tetanus Toxoid Adsorbed 0.5ml (single\ndose) Ampoule/vial\nAdsorbed Tetanus Vaccine BP single dose\n(0.5mL)\nOR\nTetanus Toxoid Adsorbed USP single dose\n(0.5mL)\nEach 0.5mL single dose ampoule/vial should\ncontain an estimated potency of not less than\n40 units of Tetanus Toxoid. The vaccine to\ncontain Tetanus Toxoid produced by the\ngrowth of Clostridum Tetani in the form of\nTetanus Formol Toxoid.\nNote:\n1. Offers should be only from vaccine suppliers\nrecommended by World Health Organization\nfor bulk purchase for U.N. Agencies (WHO pre-\nqualified).\n2. The following documents should be\nsubmitted pre- shipment for each lot of vaccine\ndispatched. (a)Invoice (b) Certificate of origin\n(c) Certificate of analysis (d)Lot release\ncertificate from National control\nLaboratory(NCL) from country of\norigin.(e)Summary lot protocols of production\nprocedure & quality control testing. These\ndocuments should be submitted pre-shipment\nto the National Control Laboratory for Vaccines\n(MRI) Sri Lanka.\n3. The product should be from fresh stocks and\neach consignment should be prepared\npreferably from a single batch.\n4. The product should have a minimum 2/3 of\nremaining shelf life at the time of delivery at\nMSD.\n5. The vaccine should also comply with the\ngeneral requirements for vaccines in the\nBP,USP or other pharmacopeial standards\napproved by NMRA, Sri Lanka.\n6. Cold Chain monitors or WHO recommended\nother cold chain monitoring device should be\nincluded for each carton and the cold chain etc . Country:

Adsorbed\nDiphtheria and Tetanus Vaccine BP or USP.\nEach 0.5ml single dose containing not less\nthan 30 international units (IU) of Diphtheria\nToxoid and not less than 40 IU of Tetanus\nToxoid.\ni.Offers should be only from vaccine\nsuppliers recommended by World Health\nOrganization (WHO) for bulk purchase for\nthe U.N. Agencies.\nii.The product should be from fresh stocks\nand each consignment should be prepared\npreferably from a single batch. Each batch\nshould accompany a certificate of analysis,\nlot release certificate issued by a laboratory\naccredited by National Control Authority and\nSummary Protocol of vaccine production\nand quality control test data should be\nsubmitted for protocol review.\niii.Each consignment should have a\nminimum remaining shelf life of 75% at the\ntime of receiving the consignment at MSD.\niv.The vaccine should also comply with the\ngeneral requirements for vaccines in the BP\nor USP.\nv.The vaccine should meet the most recent\nrequirements of WHO when tested by the\nmethods outlined by WHO.\nvi.Cold chain monitors or WHO\nrecommended other cold chain monitoring\ndevice should be included in each pack\nduring delivery and the cold chain should be\nmaintained during storage, transport and\ndelivery of vaccines.\nvii.The vaccine should be protected from\nlight and should be stored at a temperature\n+2'C to +8'C. Vaccines should not be frozen.\nviii.Each vial should be labeled accordingly\nindicating both date of manufacture and\nexpiry.\nix.Must be a WHO prequalified product.\nx.Each vial should contain a suitable vaccine\nvial monitor. etc .
